Merry Christmas from Birdwell PTA! We hope you’ll be able to join in with the activities and competitions over the festive period. Sponsored Dash – 18th December
On Friday 18th December 2020 children at Birdwell will be completing a sponsored ‘Santa Dash’ to help raise funds for Birdwell PTA. Children are welcome to wear some Christmas themed headwear, a Santa hat, reindeer ears, tinsel or anything Christmassy! Please find the sponsor form below. Sponsor money can either be cash and bought into school in a sealed envelope or paid directly into the PTA bank account (contact your rep for details).
Guess the Member of Staff
The staff have been taking fun ‘elfies’ with some Christmas disguises. Can you tell who they are? There are 30 members of staff to name – can you name them all? Suggested donation to enter: £1. Download the photos below.
Create a decoration to hang outside on the railings by the entrance to help us all feel Christmassy! Try to make them weather proof! The winner will be chosen by our wonderful Derek! See the poster below for more information and some ideas! Suggested donation to enter: £1
Update! Please place all orders by Friday 4th December so we can have them ready for collection on Monday 7th December. Create your own fresh Christmas wreath using a readymade DIY kit. Name the Elf
Can you spot the cheeky elf hiding around the school? Use the competition entry slip to guess the Elf’s name. Post it into the box in your classroom. The winner will be announced on the last day of term. Suggested donation to enter: £1
Virtual Pet Show
Email a picture of just your pet in a Christmassy setting by 11th Dec to the PTA Email address 'Ref Pets followed by your name'. Extra prize for ‘Best Dressed’ and ‘Most Unusual Pet’. Winners to be announced the last day of term. Any printed pet photos and voluntary entry fee could also be posted into 42 Rayens Cross Road. Suggested donation to enter: £2
Take a stroll around the village and collect the letter clues to spell out some well-known pantomimes. There’s even a bonus clue at Gatcombe Farm shop! Download the map (from 7th December) and collect clues until 4th January. Post your completed maps for a chance to win a wonderful Christmas Hamper donated by Alexander May.
