Art Day 2023
We loved art day on Tuesday 31st October. We began with a whole school assembly where some of the teachers were very brave and creative and had a go at some kindness art.
Throughout the day, each year group then worked on their own projects to learn about a specific art style like impressionism (year 1), landscape art (year 3) or surrealism (year 4). They explored a range of artists and examples and enjoyed using sketchbooks to record their observations and ideas. After that, they designed and created their own artwork inspired by their learning.
In the afternoon, each class enjoyed adding their own doodles to a HUGE whole school collage. It was fun using felt tip pens to doodle pictures which linked to the art-learning we’d explored in the morning.
During the rest of term 2, our school council will be working on a ‘kindness’ project where our final artworks will be given to members of our community.
