Half Term Maths Photo Challenge

International Day of Mathematics 2022 

HALF TERM MATHS PHOTO CHALLENGE

Can you create a photo with mathematics?

Take a picture of yourself (you can team up with your friends, family or pets) with a mathematical theme:

 

  • A mathematical object you built,
  • ...or drew,
  • …or formed using people’s bodies.
  • Or maybe there’s a very mathematical building or bridge in your city,
  • … or a statue of a famous mathematician.

 

Remember that mathematics is much more than numbers!

  • Geometrical shapes
  • Patterns or sequences
  • Formulas
  • Fractions
  • Tessellations

These are but a few examples!

Mathematics is everywhere, but sometimes it’s hiding, so you can reveal it in some way.

We will be putting these onto the Maths section of our Birdwell website ready for the final show on March 14th – International Mathematics day.  Please ensure you are happy for any photos sent in to go on the school website.
