My child needs to leave early. Who do I contact?
It is important your child attends school every day and only leaves early for exceptional circumstances. Where possible, please try to arrange appointments outside of the school day.
Should you need to collect your child before the end of the school day, please email absence@birdwellschool.co.uk with your child's name, class, the reason they are leaving early and the time you want to collect them. If they are leaving to attend a medical appointment, please attach the appointment letter or a screenshot of the text.
If they are leaving for the afternoon, please complete a Leave of Absence Request form which can be found below, and send this to the email address above, preferably giving 10 school days notice of the absence.
All children leaving early must be collected from the school office where they will be signed out.
